Sunday! Sunday! Sunday!

Almost time to go home. I had lunch with my SweetiePie and lil'Ninja. Work has been ok. It's weird working on a Sunday knowing I have to come back tomorrow. But this is nothing compared to having yesterday off, so I'm good.

Got an email from an old pal and so we are still wanting to move forward with our new project. The others involved are having scheduling issues, that I of course can relate to. Then again, can't we all?

I gotta pee.

Even with YouTubes errors I'm having a ton of fun with the iMotion APP. Im uploading them directly to the Blog so yu can view the whole thing.

Videos Removed as they contained pictures of my son in the background and I do not want him on the internet.

So there you go, and now I gotta go (home and to pee).

More videos, more cut off endings...

I'm still doing more animations with iMotion. Again YouTube is cutting off the end of all my vids.

Videos Removed as they contained pictures of my son in the background and I do not want him on the internet.

Stop Motion Animation

I just made a few stop motion animations: Bot Marley's YouTube Channel

I want to update this post to mention my uploads to Youtube seem to be getting cutoff at the very end. :(

Videos Removed as they contained pictures of my son in the background and I do not want him on the internet.

There's a great APP my friend Isaac introduced me to called iMotion that lets you make these with incredible ease.

Let me know what you think. Make a comment on the this page or that.

Another Day, Another Post

Not much to post about today. I'm on Episode #0013 of the Daizenshuu EX Podcast and listened to the new TrekCast yesterday. I watched the 1st disc of the Frieza Saga last night and sent it back today. I also watched the Dragon Ball Z Special 1: Bardock- The Father of Goku today. I will probably watch the Dragon Ball Z Special 2: The History of Trunks tonight. I've had the double feature DVD for a couple of year but never watched the I sent back Dragon Ball Z Special 1: Bardock- The Father of Goku disc. I really enjoyed it! I thought it was weird that in the english dub, Frieza told Vegeta that he was the sole surviving Saiyan, when we know that he comes to earth with Nappa after Goku's brother Raditz came to earth.

I redecorated my desk at work. I uploaded a video on my YouTube Channel that I will be changing the audio to tonight or tomorrow.

Time to go home!

Late to the DBZ podcast party: Daizenshuu EX

Photobucket
I just started listening to this new podcast by Veggitto EX and company. His website is Daizenshuu EX and can be found by clicking on this link or typing in daizex.com in your web browser.

The site is very informative and the podcast is great. It's full of great info and trivia and news on releases. I cant believe its been around since 2005 and I am just now finding out about it. This is good for me though as I now have a ton of episodes to catch up and enjoy.

If you're into Dragon Ball, it's definitely worth checking out!

Oh, real quick, I heard a listener calling himself "JakeMan" submitting listener questions to the Daizenshuu EX podcast. I wonder if that's the same "JakeMan" I know from TFWIRe?

Lost Blog Post...

The post I was going to post right after the previous post for some reason didn't save and I lost it. It was a rant on how OCD-ish I can be and most of us into geekdom or geek culture can be.

Thank god it's Friday!

This week has been a long and interesting one.

We took our son out of daycare this week. He has been in daycare since he was 3 months old. He is about to be 3 on June 1st and it's about time he got to be a kid and enjoy his time before school starts. Plus we finally have a schedule that will enable us to do without daycare. It can be difficult when you have no family that lives near you to go without daycare.

I never did try the Double Down from KFC. I decided to live a little longer. PLus the more I think about it, I'd rather have a Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwich any day!

I finished Season 2 of Dragon Ball Z yesterday and can't wait for Disc 1 of Season 3. Yes I'e seen the entire series many many times, but I can't help it.

That makes me think of a topic I'd like to talk about, but in it's own post.

As a matter of fact, I'll end this one to start it, because I want to get it out while I have it fresh on my mind.

Happy Friday!

BLOG UPDATE

I changed the format a little so that the complete picture shows on my posts and added my lil' Bot Marley Sketch at the top.

What's News in Gaming?

Well I think this 1st bit of news could use it's own post but here it is real quick for a glance from our friends over at Kotaku:

I know if you've played this game since it 1st came out on the original GameBoy on September 30, 1998 (I was 8 years old and couldn't wait for this day since 1st reading about it in Nintendo Power as Pocket Monsters) then you may be thinking the same thing I am. The thing is though, how do you improve and change the formula to something fresh and new without losing what made the series so great? My idea is come out with a true sequel to the original. I think the answer lies in the story. Every iteration feels like I'm trapped in the same time and universe that I've been playing for years. I'd like to see what's going on with the characters now that I'm an adult and they then too must be adults. I'm sure to market to the youths, they would play as the son of the great Ash Ketchum and I'd be happy with that. New adventures, new pokemon, even a new world. Part of the fun was not knowing what kind of creatures you would find. There is no longer any mystery to that. Well that's all I'll rant on that. On to the next bit of Video Game News...

You can check out the clip on Kotaku by clicking on the link above. I don't play 1st person shooters. I get motion sick. With that said, I still loved seeing the clip because when and if I do play, I'm the guy that never plays by the rules and shoots any and everything that moves. Yes. I'm that guy. Ever since Golden Eye on the N64, I have been that guy. I just don't have a knack for shooters. I think it's the patience needed or something. Fighting games on the other hand, I can pick up and play them like I've been playing the game for months already without ever actually playing the game once before. I don't know what it is, but I've always had a knack for fighting games.

Well there hasnt been much else today that has caught my eye video game wise so I'll leave you with this clip from YouTube user EricOdmyr. He has created a neat stop-motion animation which was made by using Hama plastic beads, and runs to the tune of “WHAT DID YOU SAY?” by Bunnymajs.

It's Mon "DoubleDown" Day

Well, this week we see the release of KFC's Double Down. If you click on the link be sure you check out the commercial! I may or may not be trying this thing today. Im sure good'ol Doctor House would say go for it, but anyone else may have to disagree.

P.S. Griffin from the themidnitesnack YouTube Channel had this to say:

I'll update if I try this thing. If you try it, let me know your thoughts. If you're not in the emergency room from heart failure.

NightBeat? Is that you?

I got an interesting email from a certain someone last night:
Photobucket
It's great to hear from Ryan and I hope this means that we may see him return to Podcasting. Of all the hosts that have come and gone from TFWIRe, with the exceptions of Jesse and Spada, he has had the greatest impact. He brought to the show a certain effable quality. He contrasted the hosts as much as he complimented them. His self deprecating humor was enjoyed by all and a wonderful polar opposite to very the confident Jesse "Matrix Prime".

I hope that he decides to return to podcasting in the future. My hope is that it would be more free form in the sense of topic. Something along the lines of TFWIRe, but discussing all the news from the other websites I know he must visit on a semi-regular basis as we all do.

I don't want to put pressure on him that he has to do anything. Not that I could, but none the less, whether he picks up the mic again or not, it was just great to hear from him.

So I end this post with one last sketch from the old TFWIRe days:

Bot Marley's YouTube

The Bot Marley channel is much like this blog and pretty free form. I have a few toy reviews in mind to do. I want to try a few things with this, but I'm not sure just what exactly. Maybe a drawing tutorial or umm...yeah, I don't know. Don't be surprised if you see some puppets show up. I am a huge supporter of the fabricated american.

Furry?

Photobucket

What is a Furry?

Well like most people all I knew of Furries I learned from television describing them as a group of people that liked to have sex in animal costumes. Well recently as I was getting into the Mega Man Perfect Run series on Roahm Mythril's YouTube channel I learned he was a Furry. So I decided to look up more information on the subject because from what he mentions on his comments it didn't seem to have anything to do with having sex with other people dressed like animals. It was more like people who identified themselves more with animals and have a fondness for Anthropomorphic Animals. Like Doctor Dillamond from Gregory Maguire's 1995 novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, I am in the mindset of treating Animals with the same respect we treat other bipedal creatures with the ability of speech and not like they are simply common animals.

I love drawing animal versions of Comic heroes. Spider Ham is one of my all-time favorite comic book heroes!
Photobucket
I even have drawn Transformers like animals.
Here's an old scan of one of my doodles. This was way before Disney Label was ever conceived!
Photobucket
Of course then Beast Wars could also be considered the Furry's own Transformers series! So does it mean just because one feels a kinship to animals more so than people or their hobby is collecting animal themed stuff, that they must be assumed to also want to have sex in animal costumes.
Of course not!
BUT...
The very label of Furry, as tainted by the media, has you believe that and what purpose does it serve to label one self as a Furry?
Well we know it's to identify yourself to others who share the same interests. I would believe that would be about it. I've read they have conventions too just like Transformers, GI Joe, Star Wars, Star Trek, and just about every other fandom. Many people are members of multiple fandoms. So I suppose it's my assumption that if you would choose to label yourself a furry, you do so in hopes that someone who understands the true nature of Furries would recognize and share in your passion (not meant in the sexual way).

Well if you want to learn more about Furries, Wikipedia is a good start. That's where I started my search.

So Mario, I ask are you a...

Happy Rabbit Worship Day!

Photobucket
I'm not sure exactly what day Easter is but my son is g0ing to get his picture taken with him today. I've always enjoyed Easter for it's chocolate bunnies and easter baskets full of toys, coloring books and candy. My favorite as a kid were the ones that came with puppets. My favorite part of Easter being of course the rabbit! So to honor this day of the Lupine I present some of my favorite Rabbit doodles from the past!

Blast from the Past: Spada and Wheelie!

Photobucket

[UPDATE] After that picture has been on my photobucket account since 2007 they have suddenly taken it down since posting it to this Blog. If you'd like to see it, email me at garbagepailkilla@yahoo.com and I'll send it to you.

This was done off of a comment Spada made on an episode of TFWIRe. I was working in Killeen, TX as a Quality Assurance Rep and had a ton of free time so I used to try and draw stuff that was funny to me from the show.

Well this picture spurred on all kinds of Spada and Wheelie references through out the rest of the shows episodes even though I had taken the picture down at the request of Matrix Prime to keep the Forums to a certain degree of respectability.

Spada is awesome and this was done in jest and I hope there are no hard feelings. I don't think there is, but i just wanted to put that out there.

His shirt has the old TFWIRe banner logo.

I had hopes to do a ton more art for the show, but things got rocky as the company I was working for, Paragon Way, Inc. closed shortly after this was drawn.

Here's a sketch that actually has the line the Spada/Wheelie drawing is inspired from:

iPad Madness

Photobucket
Yes, my friends, I am working on my day off because the masses demand their iPads and are already calling in even though they aren't even due to deliver till tomorrow. So I honor them with a visit from my friend Psychopathic Pete.

These folks act like it's the end of the world if their large iPod Touch doesn't arrive tomorrow. I can understand that they are excited, but these folks are just plain being unrealistic about their demands.

Well, I've changed my mind and it's not really worth my time to rant about them so that's all I'm going to say on it.

Welcome to the Dumps!

Photobucket

I'm currently in talks with Matrix Prime about hosting a Blog on the TFWIRe site, but in the mean time I figured I'll get this one started.

I'm basically going to be posting the news that get's my attention and discussing the things that cross my mind. I want to have some recurring segments like OldSchool Toy Review and Random Doodle of the Day.

We'll see how it goes. In the mean time let's go ahead and get this thing started!

As you have seen on the top of this post is Skull Man from Mega Man 4. I have been on a Mega Man kick lately. It started when I stumbled upon Roahm Mythril's YouTube channel and got hooked to watching his Mega Man Perfect Run series. His commentary is hilarious and it's just awesome to watch him beat every Mega Man game without taking a hit and then the hilarious outtakes after each stage.

So this led me to looking up Mega Man online and I found Mega Man: Official Complete Works. Which is every Mega Man fans dream book as it has every piece of official art for the entire series except Mega Man 9 & 10 understandably. I saw it at a Barnes & Noble for $39.99 and was about to get it, but I'm glad I waited and got it from Amazon for $26.39 with Free Shipping and I added the Mega Man Megamix Volume 1 book too since I was already saving so much. Both books are fantastic and are only fueling my Mega Madness!

Then after finding The MegaMan Network I saw this gorgeous figure:
Photobucket
When compared to my Mega Man figure from the 15th Anniversary line, makes my figure look like ass. I always thought my figure was a bit off, but wow, when you see a proper figure, it just confirmed it.
Here's my figure:
Photobucket

Yeah, like I said, it's not horrible, but it just aint right. Well this is it for right now, but I'll be posting again probably Saturday. I just wanted to get something on here to kick it off. Thanks for reading this and I'll talk to you soon? Talk? Well you know what I mean.
